Motivational Thoughts for the Subconscious Mind

When the daily grind gets you down. When the fear/frustration of starting your home based business paralyzes you. Take these thoughts to heart:

  • What stress do I want in my life? (The stress of my corporate job or starting my own business, replacing my income and quitting my JOB?)
  • Get rid of my anchors? (What holds me back from achieving my dreams/goals? Isn't it time I remove them from my life?)
  • Worst Things First. (Complete the task I fear/dread most. Do it first, get it done. I will feel a lot better.)
  • Stop avoiding; stop escaping! What tasks am I doing that keep me from building my business? (Cleaning house? Or sending your ezine when someone else could do this?)
  • What are the benefits of having my own business? (Quit my job, spend more time with my family, reduce my stress levels?)

Reframing your thoughts and placing everything in perspective will jump start you back on the path to success.

Work at Home Moms: Control Your Environment

One of the keys to home based business success is your surroundings. Who you spend the most time with.

To have what you want in life, you have to be around people who already have it.

The old saying you can't fly with eagles if you keep scratching with the turkeys is very true.

Reduce or eliminate your time around negative people (friends, co-workers, family, etc.)

Stay way from people who are going no where (no goals, no dreams, who underachieve).

Deep down I know you know who these people are in your life.

Are you willing to do something about!?

Laws of the Universe - Priorities

Follow and implement the Pareto Principle. Also known as the 80/20 rule. 20% of your activities will bring the greatest value and results in your life. Both personal and professional.

Another example of this rule is that typically 20% of your clients bring 80% of the revenue into your business. Wouldn't it be a great idea to focus on these 20%? Allow your marketing funnel to take them from one level of product to the next increasing in price with each purchase?

Disciple yourself by implement this law. The results will amaze you.

Laws of the Universe - Accumulation

Great success comes from the accumulation of small steps. Small steps can be small successes or small failures.

The misconception of many individuals is that success is instant and over night. Yes, this does happen on occasion and it is more rare than people realize.

Truth be told, all entrepreneurs in all walks of life have had demons and challenges to face. Some of these come in the form of others sabotaging us. Sometimes we even sabotage our own success. Sometimes these are mental issues, sometimes these are emotional.

You look at the end result and say wow! I want that. Without realizing that individual got their success one step at a time, one mistake at a time, one success at a time, one lesson learned at a time.

This is how they have become experts in their field thru experience. To get there, means getting out of your comfort zone, facing your fears and learning what you don't know.

Key point: Make decisions and take steps that take you toward the things you want.

The Laws of the Universe: Money

There are many laws that govern the universe we live in. There are laws around money. One of the keys to financial freedom is saving money.

What I have observed...it is difficult to think about tomorrow when you are scrambling to survive for today. How many people do you know that operate in financial crisis mode? On a daily, weekly, monthly basis?

Saving is a concept known as pay yourself first. Making sure you set aside money to prepare for the future. This can be done in many ways such as adding money to an IRA or having your employer deduct a specific amount of money every pay period to a 401k.

For the entrepreneur, there are plans that allow you to set aside money for future retirement. Such as the SEP, Keogh, etc.

The point is to set the money aside, never touch it, let it grow to lay the foundation for retirement and live on the rest of your income.

I challenge you to start saving 10% of your yearly income and gradually increase this to 20% or more.

Use the power of compounding interest to mass wealth and financial security.

Be a student; learn and understand how to attract money into your life. For money comes to those who want it, handle it with care and manage it well.

Be honest with yourself....do you attract or repel money from your life? Do you handle it with care? Appreciate the resourcefulness it brings into your life? Or spend extravagantly? Do you spend for today not knowing where the money will come from tomorrow??

Entrepreneur or employee: Start preparing for the future! You deserve to have the best future possible.

The Key to Starting a Home Based Business: Learning Letters

There is nothing more satisfying than spending time with my soon to be 4 year old granddaughter. She will be starting pre-school in the fall. And she has taken an interest in learning to write her letters and numbers.
I was able to find workbooks at the local dollar store as well as templates to help her learn to write. Everytime we are together, she asks to write.
Of course as adults, we have been writing in print and cursive for so long, we forget how much practice it takes.
Haylee has had to learn how to correctly hold the pencil, master eye/hand coordination, control the pencil to make the proper shape.
All of these little steps when put together, allow us the freedom to write individual letters that become words. While words become sentences. Sentences become paragraphs. Paragraphs become reports, books, emails, etc. Our primary form to communicate with the world.
And it is with starting a business. Taking small steps and learning things we have not done before. Putting all of the pieces of the marketing puzzle together. Until our business has become a fine tuned instrument. Providing music to the ears and eyes of our clients. Giving them what they want so we in turn as the entrepreneur can have what we want.
I encourage to move forward small step by small step. As Haylee will eventually learn to master the written word; so too will you have the home based business you dream of. To work from home, be there for your family, replace your income and leave your corporate job.
